At the current time, we have around six members of both permanent and non permanent staff.

Retailer Apprentice
The owner is keen to grow and bring new talent into the picture. He is presently looking for potential candidates to fill a very rare position which may be created soon as a very special : Retailing Apprentice
The Criteria for anybody who wishes to apply is modest :

- Good computer literacy - must be interested in learning computer science in a little bit more depth (egghead not necessary). PC's internet, camera's etc.
- Keen and Eager, with an adult and grown up mind set - the art of retailing is not all glamorous - but it comes with a very useful set of skills - which will serve the right candidate well for the rest of their life.
- Evidence of Commitment - Apprenticeships take usually up to 3 years to complete - because of the qualifications - and all come with a 1 day per week day release to a local college - which is a mandatory facet.
- Manners & Grace - The ideal candidate will have to be presentable on all levels.
- Burning Desire - This is make no mistake - a very rare position, and will operate in line with current government legislation, you will need to demonstrate your desire for the position not quite like you would for Sir Alan Sugar's roles but you will be required to prove you are able to commit to the position for the duration.
- Sponge Mindedness and Quick thinking - again, we are not looking for Einsteins per-se, but adaptability and ability to absorb (fly on the wall style) and learn from real time interactions with both consumers and suppliers
- Stubbornness - not in terms of pushiness - more introspective. The candidate will need to be self motivated and able to take both the good and bad days in their stride - sure we all want to stay in bed sometimes - maybe late a few times per year is OK - but a no show is for sure a no go!
- Inquisitive and Not scared to ask questions (at appropriate times) - we all have to learn - most of us will learn new things everyday of our lives, some of us gain great strengh by repeatedly refining what and indeed the way we learn, where and how we can obtain new relevant information.
- Demonstrate General soundness (well rounded character) - the successful candidate will sometimes have to deal with Old Age Pensioners, Teenagers, Children, Pushy Salespeople and maybe even irate Managing Directors - they all have different wants and needs - and need to be addressed respectfully at all times - if you can't cope with the odd dribbly child every now and again - or are unable to interact with these and more disparate groups of individuals - this position is probably not for you.
- Show that you have other interests and are well rounded - not a playstation junkie or always down the pub.
- Flexibility the successful candidate will need to be active and fit enough to be able to cope with being on their feet all day - shuffling stock and boxes, dressing shop windows, running a few errands in the rain to the post office etc. etc. etc. everything you imagine an active shop manager would do.
