We have had a shop in Carmarthen town centre for around two years, and during that time we have built up a strong reputation within our community. People describe our shop and stock in many unique but positive ways - the vast range of items must be seen to be appreciated.

Having worked in the locality for many years, the proprietor Maurice finally realised his dream (this business) in mid 2007, and coming from a long history in the retail field (with various mostly big name companies) was in a great position to grow a thriving business in what is a very busy yet cosy town.

We trade honestly and fairly paying bills promptly, aiming to keep our promises and trying to be 100% open and honest.

First hand experience dealing with many global suppliers throughout his lengthy work history, Maurice took a keen interest in ethical sourcing and built up a firm moral standing with respect to this - since conception the businesses single most important goal has been to ensure that all practical measures have been taken to protect the individual gift makers (their health and wellbeing) and that there is no exploitation within the supply chain.

With such good business relationships which have taken years to foster - Maurice sources as many of his goods as possible from Welsh makers. More exotic products which are produced in different countries are obtained from merchants with appropriate Fairtrade accreditation.

The shop operates on a low carbon footprint - we recycle as much as we can, and to offset the difference we purchase locally sourced carbon credits.

Although we do our best to be as kind as we can to the planet and the inhabitants thereof, we expect to continue to keep improving and therefore if you think you can help us become better, more green citizens - we welcome your thoughts by email.
